Privacy policy

ANSense uses Apple Health data to calculate wellness estimates on your iPhone. ANSense does not require an account or operate a developer-hosted health-data service.

Health data

With your permission, ANSense reads Mindful Sessions, heartbeat series, and heart-rate variability from Apple Health. Calculations take place on your iPhone. The app does not automatically send this data to a developer-operated server and does not write or delete data in Apple Health. Session lists are queried from Apple Health; current measurements are held in memory.

Labels and comments

Session labels, timing, comments, and identifiers of hidden sessions are stored locally in the app’s preferences. Hiding a session retains its annotations. Local app data is stored on your device and is not synchronized by ANSense to a cloud service.

Sharing and diagnostics

If you choose Export diagnostics CSV, ANSense creates a temporary file and opens the iOS share sheet. The file includes session identifiers, timestamps, source and device information, heartbeat intervals, calculated results, and calculation settings. It does not include labels or comments. Data is shared with the destination you select; that recipient’s privacy practices apply. Temporary exports may remain until system cleanup or app removal.

If you choose Export All Saved Sessions, ANSense creates a CSV file and opens the iOS share sheet. The export may include session identifiers and timestamps, source and device information, saved labels and comments, calculated ANS and HRV results, state information and descriptions, calculation settings, heartbeat timestamps, and raw and processed RR interval data. Data is shared only with the destination you select; that recipient’s privacy practices apply. Temporary exports may remain until system cleanup or app removal.

ANSense writes Health query status, sample counts, and error descriptions to local system logs. The app does not include advertising, tracking SDKs, or an analytics service. Apple separately processes TestFlight feedback and diagnostics under its own policies and settings.

Your choices and data retention

You can revoke ANSense’s Health read permissions in Apple Health. This does not delete Health records or local labels. To remove an annotation, open its label box, choose Clear labels and comment, then Save. Deleting the app removes its local data, including saved annotations. Previously shared files and device backups must be managed separately with their destination or backup service.

Support messages

Support emails are accessed by ANSense’s operator to respond to questions and troubleshoot problems. Messages and attachments are retained only as long as needed for those purposes. You can request deletion by emailing support@ansense.app.

Email includes the contact details, message, and attachments you provide. Share health data only if you choose to provide it for troubleshooting. The email service used to send and receive support messages processes those messages under its own privacy practices.

If you submit TestFlight feedback, the developer receives the feedback and information Apple makes available through TestFlight.
